Introduction

Staging websites provide a safe space for testing and previewing updates before they go live on your production website. Good news? Bablic makes it super easy to manage both your staging and production environments! Here's a quick guide to get you up and running.

How to Add Your Staging Website to Bablic

  1. Go to your Dashboard: Log into your Bablic account and go to 'Dashboard'.

  2. Access Settings: Click on 'Settings' and then navigate to 'Content Detection'.

  3. In the Staging Domin section: Add your staging Site URL. then click save.

  4. Insert Your Snippet: Copy the snippet and add it to your staging site's HTML. The full guide on how you can add your Bablic snippet code.

Do I Need a Separate Subscription for Staging?

Nope! No need to buy another subscription just for your staging site. Your current plan should support both environments—staging, and production—as long as the plan allows it.

Pre-conditions for Staging Websites

Before you start, there's something you should know:

  • IP Protection and Authentication: Staging servers often come with IP protection or require authentication.

  • Limited Accessibility: Sometimes, these servers are limited to specific geographic locations.

  • Whitelist Bablic Servers: For Bablic to crawl and scan your staging website, you'll need to whitelist our servers. This ensures Bablic can access the site for translation and other functions.

Summary

Managing your staging and production websites shouldn't be a hassle. With Bablic, you get the flexibility of testing on your staging site before going live. Just make sure to whitelist Bablic servers if your staging environment has IP protection or authentication.
